Our Projects

Window Decals

Window decals on empty shop front windows.
As in many rural town centres there are often main street shops which are un tennented for long periods of time. It is an ongoing initiative of the association to place temporary decals over these shop front windows of iconic scenes of our town to make the space more appealing until the next business moves in.

Town Free WIFI

TABA provides a free WIFI service in the CBD to entice people to stay in town and enhance their experience.

The system has capacity to expand when future funding is sought.

Te Aroha Entrance Sign.

A recent project of one of our committee members was to update one of the entrance signs into town.

Under Eave Lighting.

Our current project is to fund under eave lighting in the CBD. This will add vibrancy to the town in the evenings and enhance security.
At present the lighting is fluorescent tube lighting, many of which are not operating. The new lighting will be LED and all on one circuit that comes on and off with the street lighting.
Partial funding from MPDC has been gained but further funding is being sought from funding agencies, business, and the public.
